IT'S TIME TO HEAL

About

Hello!

My name is Annie and I am an Integrative Health Practitioner and nomadic lady laborer. I endeavor to help women in construction heal, balance and nurture their bodies.

Working in the trades is a rewarding and challenging career and brings many unique challenges. One of which is exposure to toxins.

Being health minded, I know there is an impact on the body from exposure to environmental toxins and that everyone responses to exposure differently.

In early 2023, I was a concrete laborer and started to experience redness and a small rash on my arm.

From Struggle to Search

Then the rash erupted into a roar.

My skin was screaming for help.

Eczema raged on my body and refused to be silenced. It was painful, embarrassing and the root cause was not immediately apparent.

It felt like my nerves were on fire.

I scratched and itched, my skin would fuse to my shirt and would painfully peel off at the end of the day. I started sleeping with socks on my hands to try and stop myself from scratching the wounds raw at night.

I was miserable. I felt like a rashey monster.

I was searching for answers, waiting and saving for appointments only to be disappointed by the solutions offered.

More toxins were not an option for me.

I refused to cover up my symptoms.

I wanted to truly heal.

Discovering a Better Way

Searching for healing led me to Dr. Cabral, the Integrative Health Practitioner Institute and to study the 7 Branches of IHP:

1. Orthomolecular medicine - "the right molecules in the right amounts"

2. Ayurvedic medicine - "the science of life"

3. Functional medicine - helping people at a functional level

4. Traditional Chinese medicine & herbalism - using the power of herbs & energy practice to enhance overall wellness

5. Traditional Naturopathy - using right living to rebalance the body

6. Bioregulatory medicine - "science of self-healing"

7. Eastern philosophy - using the mind to heal the body

I started to implement what I was learning and started to feel better...

My skin was getting better!

Turning Healing into a Mission

I am a bit like an outside dog... I like healing my own wounds.

When I see my skin now, I know that the healing is real.

It was not easy.

And it did not happen overnight.

Eventually the rash faded away with consistent, steady effort and belief that I could be better.

The low and slow approach has included:

Reducing toxic exposure, gratitude, healing water, the outdoors, raw milk smoothies, eating well, healthy movement, detoxing (let's chat the power of a liver/gallbladder cleanse!) homeopathy, running at home labs, experimenting with protocols, water fasting, working with loving practitioners - including an IHP coach & holistic dentists, dancing, breath & somatic work, safe cell signaling...

Healing is a process.

What I discovered through this journey changed everything:

true health isn't about covering up symptoms (or your skin!)

It's about restoring balance, giving the body the environment it needs to heal, and addressing the root causes of dis-ease.

You are not alone.

Healing is possible.

If you need support on your journey, I am here for you.

With love,

Annie
